Potato Flakes are the most important form of dehydrated potato products. The main reason for the widespread usage of potato flakes is their unique ability to reconstitute even with cold water.

Dehydrated Potatoes

Flours, granules, cubes, slices, shreds, starch and pellets.

It is used as a main ingredient of stackable chips (like Pringles and Jackers) and favourite South Asian snack (Aloo Bhujia).

All dehydrated potato products start out as sound, whole potatoes — the fluffy, whitefleshed potatoes that consumers love. Several washings and steam-peeling under high pressure prepare the potatoes for subsequent steps on their journey to becoming premium dehydrated products.

Potato Sorting Process at Goodrich Cereal's Karnal Plant

SORTING, CLEANING & WASHING

After the sorting of potatoes, the quality potatoes are then subjected to cleaning and washing.

STEAM PEELING

The washed potatoes go for skin removal process called Steam Peeling, followed by brushing.

Cooking & Drying process for Dehydrated Potato & Potato Flakes

COOKING & DRYING

After Inspection, Blanching, Cooling the potatoes are cooked to mashed potatoes and then dried using Roller Drum Driers.
